Official patent status of Point2’s Photo Upload
Facility gains ground as Point2 was recently issued an official patent
in Canada. On February 22nd, Point2 was granted patent number 2,315,278 for their photo resizing solution.
Developed
in 1996, the Photo Upload Facility (PUF) is a multi-platform utility
that takes the work out of working with photos, automatically resizing,
re-sampling, and duplicating them while they are uploaded. The PUF tool
is seamlessly integrated into both the Point2 Manager and Point2 Agent software solutions.
In
addition to the Canadian patent, Point2 has already been granted a
patent in the US and also has a patent application pending on PUF in
the European Patent Office.
